Hair of the Dog began in 2009, right here in Highgate, London, born from the shared passion of Rita and Roland two dog lovers with a dream.
Their vision was simple: to create a place where dogs would be treated with real care, not just cleaned and clipped, but genuinely looked after. Rita and Roland believed that grooming should be a positive, comforting experience for every dog and something owners could trust and feel good about.
What started with one grooming table and a lot of heart quickly grew into a beloved local spot, known for its friendly service, gentle handling, and dogs that leave looking and feeling their best.
To this day, Hair of the Dog remains a reflection of Rita and Roland’s love for dogs - and their love for the vibrant, close-knit community of Highgate. Over 20 years on, the mission is still the same: happy dogs, happy humans, and a lot of tail wags.
